Private rooms for the ghost hunt + sleepover require at least two people sharing. *Bookings for the sleepover, therefore, have a two-person minimum. Two tickets guarantee a private room for up to two people.

Time: 8:00 PM – 10:00 AM
Meet up at the hotel at the earliest 7:30 PM. There is ample parking available at the hotel itself.
What to Bring?
Sleeping bags/bedding. Toiletries – Please leave these in your vehicles until later on in the evening.
Please bring with you a form of photo ID, and a printed off booking confirmation email (or show this on your phone).
We will be providing you with paranormal equipment to use, however, we will need something of value per group to hold onto as collateral (phone, car keys, watch, etc.)
We will be providing snacks and drinks at intervals throughout the night.
And of course, bring your phone/camera with you, the more pictures we have the better chance we have of capturing something!
Other than that, just yourself and an open mind!
Olde Park Hotel History
The Olde Park Hotel in Ballinger Texas was built back in 1886 and was originally used as a lodging for Cowboys in the area. Later it was used as a meeting hall, schoolhouse, courthouse, and even a brothel and bordello during the earliest period of Ballinger history.
As with many historic buildings, it hasn’t been left untouched during this time, there have been numerous additions, and renovations done to the building, with it recently being used as a bed and breakfast, restaurant, as well as an antique and music store.
In July 2016 the building was purchased by current owners Dan and Connie LaFave, who both have a passion for Texas history, and of course the paranormal field!
They have lovingly renovated the building and continue to do so to this day. Having used repurposed pieces from around Ballinger TX and the San Angelo area, whilst renovating each room to make every one of them unique, the building is a true homage to the early history of Ballinger, Runnels County, and the surrounding area.
Already aware of the buildings’ unique history and of course the hauntings that had been happening there for decades, their own experiences started from the very moment they stepped foot inside!
Olde Park Ghosts
The activity and the experiences at this historic building are both vast and wide-ranging. Visitors to the Antique Store, have had conversations with women in “costume” who they thought worked there only for them to disappear! It’s believed they were the spirits of the working women from the time it was a whorehouse.
There are many other spirits in the building of course, including “Glenn” and “Cowboy”, who have both been seen before guests’ very eyes. They’ve even been caught on camera, with the dark figure of the Cowboy pictured holding his pistol standing in the corridor menacingly in front of several guests.
The Cowboy is known for being a rather angry spirit, in fact, on one paranormal investigation, a piece of expensive equipment was left in a room to monitor for activity, when the whole team was downstairs they heard a huge crash from the room where the equipment was. Upon entering the room they discovered the equipment was smashed to pieces on the floor!
On many occasions, people have been walking around the upstairs and coming face to face with other people. Similar to the store downstairs, they would have conversations with them only for them to disappear.
In addition to the visible reports, voices and strange sounds are heard regularly, coming from empty rooms and at the end of dark corridors. People have also heard disembodied voices whispering in their ears, disembodied footsteps, doors opening and closing by themselves, things being thrown, bangs and doorknobs being rattled in the dead of night!
People have even experienced being touched, with the feeling of their clothes being tugged a common occurrence. You can also be walking upstairs only for some unseen force to stop you and push you back down!
On many occasions, the current owner has reported feeling the feeling of cobwebs touching their skin and face, which usually indicates that something is ready to happen. They say themselves they hate being in the building alone as they never know what might happen…
The former owner was well aware of the activity, and brought in a psychic who discovered that there were at least 30 spirits roaming the building! Which would explain the sheer amount of activity experienced here!
Some of the reports are extremely terrifying, with some experienced investigators so traumatized they fled the building in the middle of the night, never to return!

What Should I Expect on an Ghost Hunt?
Become a paranormal investigator for the night like the TV stars of Most haunted, ghost adventures or TAPS Ghost hunters.
Use some of the specialized equipment and be guided by experienced paranormal investigators who will share their knowledge, techniques and experiences of hunting for ghosts or spirits.
Feel free to bring along any of your own equipment including but not limited to EVP recorders, flashlights, cameras or video cameras.
Bring extra clothing as in some parts old buildings may get cold but please refrain from wearing clothing that can cause distracting sounds. Many old buildings have a story to tell and we will supply them to you along with of course the ghost stories.
There will be breaks and light refreshments are provided.
We are not out to try and convince the world of the existence of an afterlife. That’s for you to decide.
We can be Sceptical and logical yet open to other beliefs and prayers of protection will be carried out.
We do not perform tricks and will not be running around with sheets on our heads!
You will be with like-minded people looking for the answer “is there really an afterlife”?
However much we try unfortunately we can’t guarantee that members of the spirit world will make their presence known but we can at least guarantee that you will experience a fun and interesting night.
Do I receive an actual ticket?
The event is ticketless. Your proof of booking is your booking confirmation email. You will also receive an email with important information prior to your event, usually the week of.
Is there any age limit of who can attend these events?
The age limit is 18 years and over.
Will there be a Medium at the event?
All events listed on Haunted Rooms are hosted by experienced Hosts and Professional Psychic/Clairvoyant Mediums. However sometimes a Medium(s) may not always be present – but as usual, you will be in very safe hands with our experienced Hosts who have a wealth of knowledge and are fully trained in all aspects of professional public ghost hunting events and experience nights.
Can I sleep at an event?
Unless it is otherwise stated, events don’t include sleepover.
Will I see a Ghost?
Unfortunately, activity will not just happen on command, however using the various experiments and experienced hosts on the events, everything will be done to offer the best chance of spiritual activity.
