These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Haunted Rooms Co. through www.hauntedrooms.com. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@hauntedrooms.com.

Events

1. Events are open to guests aged 18 and over. At most venues, guests aged 16 and 17 are also welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult, who must complete the waiver on their behalf. Age requirements are venue dependent, and some venues only admit guests aged 18 and over, so please check the event listing or contact us before booking. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who appears to be under the age limit unless photo ID (such as a passport, driver’s license or state ID) is provided. These events are not recommended for persons of a nervous disposition or anyone with a known heart condition. Events involve walking, stairs and dark spaces for several hours, so please contact us about accessibility before booking.

2. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Buy now, pay later options (Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay) are available at checkout.

3. It is recommended that people taking part in events take with them a flashlight, and wear sensible clothing and footwear. Warm clothing is also advised as temperatures tend to dip during the twilight hours and this is particularly recommended for any outside events. It is also recommended that people taking part refrain from using strong fragrances as these could interfere with some paranormal activities. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside any buildings.

4. Event participants must take full responsibility for any personal equipment or clothing and management takes no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage during the course of an event and cannot be held liable for any such incidence. This includes loss or injury during the course of any paranormal occurrence such as poltergeist activity.

5. People attending events must make their own travel arrangements to and from locations and this includes any overnight accommodation should the need arise. Management cannot be held liable for any payment regarding travel and/or accommodation.

6. Our events are strictly alcohol and drug free. Anyone who arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who uses either on the premises (including smoking, vaping or edibles), will be asked to leave the location immediately and no refund or credit will be given.

7. If during the course of an event anyone displays aggressive behavior either towards other participants or to any member of the investigation team, then management reserves the right to ban such person from taking further part and they will be required to leave the location immediately.

8. If unforeseen circumstances mean we have to cancel an event, we will notify all persons booked on the event within a reasonable timeframe before the advertised start time. We will offer all possible alternatives, including alternative dates, credit for the original booking amount, or a full refund if the other options are not suitable.

9. Tickets may be transferred to another person, provided the lead booker contacts us with the new attendee’s full name and email address before the event so we can confirm the change. Transfers are not confirmed until we have acknowledged them in writing. Tickets cannot be moved to a different date or event.

10. Customers are not permitted to offer their purchased places up for re-sale. The management team reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who has purchased tickets through unofficial sources.

11. Filming or video recording of any part of our events is not permitted. During our structured investigations, no recording of any kind (video, audio or photography) is allowed, to protect the privacy of other paying guests. During free roam, guests are welcome to take photographs and to use digital voice recorders (for example, for EVP sessions), provided they respect the privacy of other guests and follow the team leader’s instructions. Our team leaders may ask any guest to stop using a device if it is disrupting the event or other guests. Any images or recordings taken must not be used for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

12. All guests must sign our waiver before taking part. Anyone who does not sign the waiver will not be able to take part in the event, and no refund will be given.

13. If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised for an event that has taken place, or for a booking that is non-refundable under these terms, we reserve the right to contest it and to refuse all future bookings from the person concerned.

14. Your acceptance of these terms and conditions is deemed at the time of booking and in doing so Haunted Rooms are indemnified against all legal liability in respect of claims or costs for any personal loss, damage to self or property, personal injury, or death arising from your participation during the course of our paranormal investigations. It is strongly advised that you have your own third-party public liability insurance.

Cancellations / Refunds

It is your responsibility at the time of booking to ensure that you can make the event date. All payments are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another date. If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to pass your place to someone else at no charge; simply contact us before the event with the new attendee’s full name and email address so we can confirm the change.

If you do not attend the event on the date you have booked, no refund or transfer to another date will be offered.

If you are running late, you must let us or your team leader know at least one hour before the event start time. Late arrivals who have not let us know in advance will not be allowed to enter the event. This is to limit the interruption to our other guests.
