On the surface, Miss Molly’s Hotel is the very definition of an adorable western-themed bed and breakfast. Featuring eight rooms, all of which are decked out in various degrees of authentic western décor, a night at Miss Molly’s Hotel is often like walking back in time into the city’s past.
However, its quaint appearance and friendly demeanor hide a considerably darker history, one that saw the hotel degenerate from its boarding house origins to a speakeasy and eventually a bordello. Alongside this fall a certain mysterious darkness has befallen this hotel, where ghostly entities manifest and play games with the living.

Event Location: Miss Molly’s Hotel, Forth Worth Stockyards, Fort Worth TX
Time: 7:00 PM – 11:00 AM
Meet up at the hotel at the earliest 6 PM. If traveling from out of town, try and get to Fort Worth Stockyards as early as possible to find the best parking space. Although there is no parking available at the hotel itself, 24 hour parking is available as well as numerous other pay and display parking lots.
If you can get there early it’s the perfect excuse to go and try some of the famous food on offer around the Stockyards!
What to Bring?
Please bring with you a form of photo ID, and a printed off booking confirmation email (or show this on your phone).
We will be providing you with paranormal equipment to use, however, we will need something of value per group to hold onto as collateral (phone, car keys, watch, etc.)
We will be providing snacks and drinks at intervals throughout the night.
And of course, bring your phone/camera with you, the more pictures we have the better chance we have of capturing something!
Other than that, just yourself and an open mind!

Echoes and Memories
With Miss Molly’s Hotel considered one of the most haunted hotels in all of Dallas-Fort Worth, you would expect a variety of stories to come from within its walls. You would not be disappointed.
Over the years, Miss Molly’s Hotel has been host to sightings of a number of full-bodied apparitions. While many of these sightings have been indistinct, merely pale, floating figures walking the hotel’s halls, a couple of distinct spirits have been seen over the years.
One such entity is that of a young girl, maybe eight or nine years old, sometimes seen in the former owner’s rooms. Often believed to be a former tenant of the hotel, not much is known about her or her origins.
More distinct was the spirit seen by one hotel guest who woke up in the middle of the night to find an alluring and pale blonde woman sitting on the end of his bed. Given the hotel’s former history as a bordello, it is believed that this spirit belongs to a former working girl, one who may have met an untimely end inside the hotel.
Mysterious & Mischievous Phenomena
The restless ghosts that call Miss Molly’s Hotel home are responsible for more than just the occasional sighting. In fact, if stories are to be believed, several of these entities are often up to unseen mischief.
Among typical haunting fare, Miss Molly’s Hotel is home to an inordinate number of cold spots and unexplainable shadows that often turn up in photographs. Further, there are the mysterious smells to consider, some of which are described as smelling like toilet water, while others smell distinctly of women’s perfume that may hearken back to the days when Miss Molly’s Hotel used to be a bordello.
Beyond those classic haunting signs, though, are some truly strange tales of the goings on within Miss Molly’s.
Some of the hotel’s entities seem fond of playing games with the guests, taking their belongings and moving them to different locations about their room. Others have described toilets banging and lights turning off and on at random as if by an unseen force.
However mischievous these spirits may be, there is one bizarre entity that actually caused one hotel staff member to quit.
The Tipping Ghost
You can’t always rely on hotel guests to be good tippers, but Miss Molly’s Hotel has one famous guest who’s an even more famous tipper. The problem is, though, they appear to have never left the hotel.
One ghost has developed a penchant for leaving coins behind in recently cleaned rooms, apparently as a tip to the cleaning staff. This odd behavior became so frequent and even more distressing for one hotel cleaning lady, that rather than take her chances of working in this haunted hotel, she up and quit her job to be on the safe side.
Rather than let the ghosts drive the staff mad, we highly recommend tipping the cleaners on your own.
History
The development of Fort Worth as Texas’ cattle hub put it on the map, but it was the advent of the railroad that truly saw the city’s expansion boom. With many cowboys and associated businesses attracted to the area, Fort Worth was soon an in-demand spot for development by the early 20th century. One of the prime forms of real estate in demand were hotels and boarding houses, and many businesses came in to fill the void.
One of these was the Palace Rooms, a two story boarding house built in 1910. It was an admirably run business, but with tough, changing times in the early 20th century, certain adjustments had to be made. During Prohibition, the Palace Rooms was renamed the Oasis and served as a speakeasy. By the 1940s, its name was now the Gayatte Hotel, a bordello that predominantly served cowboys and others in town for the livestock trade.
Its years as a bordello were a dark time for the property, with many ill spoken deeds and rumors of some of the ladies of the night having met unfortunate fates.
This unfortunate period of its history wasn’t to last, though. Eventually, Texas cracked down hard on prostitution, and with the operators of the Gayatte Hotel busted, the building fell under new ownership. Once it was bought, new owners split the floors into two businesses, the Star Café on the ground floor and Miss Molly’s Hotel on the second.
Though the businesses were now reputable, many who have passed through the hallowed doors of this bed and breakfast have reported a distinct darkness that still pervades its halls.

What Should I Expect on a Ghost Hunt?
Become a paranormal investigator for the night like the TV stars of Most haunted, ghost adventures or TAPS Ghost hunters.
Use some of the specialized equipment and be guided by experienced paranormal investigators who will share their knowledge, techniques and experiences of hunting for ghosts or spirits.
Feel free to bring along any of your own equipment including but not limited to EVP recorders, flashlights, cameras or video cameras.
Bring extra clothing as in some parts old buildings may get cold but please refrain from wearing clothing that can cause distracting sounds. Many old buildings have a story to tell and we will supply them to you along with of course the ghost stories.
There will be breaks and light refreshments are provided.
We are not out to try and convince the world of the existence of an afterlife. That’s for you to decide.
We can be Sceptical and logical yet open to other beliefs and prayers of protection will be carried out.
We do not perform tricks and will not be running around with sheets on our heads!
You will be with like-minded people looking for the answer “is there really an afterlife”?
However much we try unfortunately we can’t guarantee that members of the spirit world will make their presence known but we can at least guarantee that you will experience a fun and interesting night.
Do I receive an actual ticket?
The event is ticketless. Your proof of booking is your booking confirmation email. You will also receive an email with important information prior to your event, usually the week of.
Is there any age limit of who can attend these events?
The age limit is 18 years and over.
Will there be a Medium at the event?
All events listed on Haunted Rooms are hosted by experienced Hosts and Professional Psychic/Clairvoyant Mediums. However sometimes a Medium(s) may not always be present – but as usual, you will be in very safe hands with our experienced Hosts who have a wealth of knowledge and are fully trained in all aspects of professional public ghost hunting events and experience nights.
Can I sleep at an event?
Unless it is otherwise stated, events don’t include sleepover.
Will I see a Ghost?
Unfortunately, activity will not just happen on command, however using the various experiments and experienced hosts on the events, everything will be done to offer the best chance of spiritual activity.

Miss Tiffany’s Room (Sleeps 4) / Minimum of 3 person booking required
With two full size beds, this beautifully refreshing room takes one back to a time when patchwork quilts covered all beds.
Railroader (Sleeps 2)
This room provides a haven of rest with its queen bed, complemented by the oak dresser and steamer trunk. Dedicated to trainmen, travelers and townspeople who brought the railroad to Fort Worth, this room pays homage to the role of the railroad in the development of the Fort Worth Stockyards. The Railroader Room overlooks the famous Exchange Street.
Gunslinger (Sleeps 2)
Rich lavender walls and cherrywood furnishings appoint this room; the queen bed is surrounded by pictures of both famous and infamous gunman. This room recognizes the contribution of the West’s most flamboyant breed, the infamous gunslingers!
Rodeo (Sleeps 2)
Pictures, posters and rodeo paraphernalia decorate this room that overlooks famous Exchange Ave. It is complete with queen bed and brightly colored patchwork quilt. This room honors the rodeo cowboy of the past, present, and future.
Cattlemen’s (Sleeps 2)
A carved oak queen bed below the mounted longhorns, a matching oak dresser, a unique hames table and side chairs below a longhorn hide wall-hanging, provides a slightly more splendid accommodations for the cowhands boss; the “Cattleman”. Dedicated to the stockmen who visited the yards to buy and sell.
Miss Amelia’s (Sleeps 4) / Minimum 3 person booking required
A turn-of-the-century room meticulously decorated with two full size beds, lace curtains and detailed hand-worked linens of the immaculate boarding house. Named for the prim and proper proprietress from 1924 into the 1930’s.
Miss Josie’s (Sleeps 2 w/ private bath)
Premier room decorated in Victorian manner with elaborate wall covering and window dressing. A draped fabric ceiling hangs above carved oak furniture. This room features a uniquely private bath, complete with claw foot bathtub, pull chain toilet and pedestal sink. The room is named in honor of the madam of the establishment during the 40’s, Miss Josie King.
Cowboy Room (Sleeps 4) / Minimum 3 person booking required
Reminiscent of a bunkhouse, with two full size beds, a wall of spurs, branding irons and tack complete the setting. Providing our tribute to the many cowhands who passed through Fort Worth on their way up the Chisholm Trail.
