The Bisbee Grand Hotel is said to be haunted by a couple of spirits and although they are occasionally glimpsed by guests, for the most part they prefer to keep themselves to themselves!

11 - El Tovar Hotel, Grand CanyonCheck Availability

Among the many ghostly figures that have been reported at the El Tovar Hotel, which is in the Grand Canyon is the former owner, Mr Fred Harvey. Guests have reported seeing Mr Harvey as a dark figure who wanders around the grounds of the hotel.

10 - Hotel Congress, TucsonSpend the Night

Tucson’s Hotel Congress is a hive of paranormal activity, but the most active spot is said to be Room 242 which is alleged to be haunted by the spirit of a former female guest who shot herself inside that room.

9 - Gadsden Hotel, DouglasCheck Availability

The Gadsden Hotel is a sprawling property in Douglas, AZ. It also happens to be the perfect example of haunted accommodation in Arizona. Guests have complained of strange knocking sounds and of their bedroom doors being rattled in the middle of the night. The most haunted room in the hotel is Room 333. Guests staying in this particular room have reported ghostly presences sitting or lying on the bed!

8 - Mile High Inn, Jerome

The Mile High Inn was once a bordello and it is now haunted by the former madam – Jennie Banters. According to local legend, Jennie was murdered by one of her clients and although it happened away from the property, her spirit is said to have returned and she has been known to throw objects around if they are not put away properly. There is also an older gentleman and a phantom cat said to be haunting the hotel.

7 - Hotel Monte Vista, FlagstaffBook a Room

There are a number of ghosts that have been spotted in the Hotel Monte Vista, including a bellhop who is intent on continuing with his duties even after his death. There are also reports of the spirit of a former guest who many have heard coughing despite the fact that nobody is around.In room 210, guests are often woken during the night by a disembodied voice announcing that their room service is ready! Meanwhile, in room 305 there is a rocking chair that moves around the room.

6 - The Hotel Connor, Jerome

When it comes to haunted accommodation Jerome, AZ is a hotbed of paranormal activity. The first Jerome hotel on our list is The Hotel Connor. For the best chance of encountering one of the resident ghosts, it is recommended that you ask to stay in room numbers 1, 2 or 4. These are the rooms where most of the reports come in regarding disembodied voices, phantom footsteps and poltergeist activity.

5 - Ghost City Inn, JeromeStay Here

If ever there was a hotel that was appropriately named then it must surely be Ghost City Inn, just one of the many choices for haunted accommodation that can be found in Jerome. Guests staying in the Ghost City Inn have reported seeing a number of different apparitions all throughout the hotel and have witnesses doors being slammed shut by unseen forces!

4 - Hotel San Carlos, PhoenixSpend the Night

Hotel San Carlos is apparently haunted by the ghost of a woman named Leone Jensen. It is believed that she threw herself from the roof of the building not long after the hotel first opened. She manifests herself in the form of disembodied cries and strande bangs. She is also said to repeat her fall from the roof on occasion.

3 - Hassayampa Inn, PrescottBook a Room

The ghost that haunts the Hassayampa Inn is said to be the spirit of a jilted bride named Faith. It is said that Faith wanders the hotel in search of her groom, still waiting and hoping that eventually he will turn up to marry her!

2 - Jerome Grand Hotel, Jerome

The Jerome Grand Hotel is well known to most paranormal enthusiasts thanks to its reputation for being one of the most haunted accommodations in all of Arizona. This probably stems from the fact that in the 1920s, prior to becoming a hotel, the building was a hospital and an asylum. Among the many spirits that are said to make their home in the Jerome Grand is an elderly miner who haunts the second and third floors.

There is also the spirit of a small boy and an old lady dressed in white. However, the most famous ghost of the Jerome Grand Hotel is that of a caretaker who died in the 1930s. He was discovered at the bottom of the elevator shaft with a broken neck. It is believed that he was murdered and he now messes around with the power in the elevator.

1 - Copper Queen Hotel, BisbeeCheck Availability

The Copper Queen Hotel is one of the most famous haunted hotels in Arizona. Construction of the hotel was finished in 1902 and since then it has been rumoured to be haunted by various different spirits. This is not all that surprising considering that The Copper Queen is said to be the oldest hotel that is still operational in  the whole of Arizona.

One of the most famous spirits here is Julia Lowell, the ghost of a former prostitute who worked in the hotel in the twenties and thirties. It is said that Julia fell in love with one of her clients, but when he rejected her she killed herself in the bathtub of her room (number 315). Another well documented spirit is that of a young boy whose mother worked at the hotel. He is said to have drowned while swimming in the nearby San Pedro River.

Aside from these two well known spirits, it is believed that there are also several former guests and employees still hanging around the hotel. In particular, there is one former employee named Howard who checks up on the employees who now fill his role as a front desk clerk.
